The IFF were commissioned by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES), the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and the Sector Skills Development Agency (SSDA) to undertake Workforce Training in England 2006. This survey offers some scope for comparison with the much larger scale National Employer Skills Survey 2005 (NESS05) and where there is confidence that the comparisons are robust and appropriate these have been provided. Further NESS surveys are planned on a two-yearly basis.
