23,300 people are employed in the Welsh Food and Drink Manufacturing industry, 400 jobs have been created 2000 - 2006, equivalent to an increase of 2% over this period and Employment is concentrated in Flintshire (13%) ,Wrexham (10%), Cardiff (10%) and Newport (8%).
