The Employer Pledge has been developed in Wales to address basic skills issues in the workplace. It is part of the Welsh Assembly Government’s National Basic Skills Strategy – Words Talk, Numbers Count. The Pledge will contribute to the Strategy aim of reducing the substantial number of adults in Wales with poor literacy and/or numeracy skills and is supported by Wales TUC, CBI Wales, the Sector Skills Councils and SSDA Wales, WLGA and other partners.
