Statistics on pupils aged 15 leaving education without a recognised qualification include data Wales for the period 2004/05 to 2007/08. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 20 December 2007. The key points are: 1) In 2007/08, 604 15-year-olds left full time education without a recognised qualification. This is lower than the 2006/07 total of 682. 2) Expressed as a percentage of the cohort 1.5 per cent of pupils left full time education without a recognised qualification in 2007/08, lower than in 2006/07. 3) A greater percentage of boys than girls left without a qualification: 1.9 per cent and 1.2 per cent respectively.
