This statistical first release (SFR) has been produced by the Data Service in consultation with statisticians from the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) and the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCFS). It provides information on learner participation and achievement for post-16 education in 2007/08, as well as updated data on learners in 2008/09. It also includes information from the Labour Force Survey on the level of highest qualification held in England, and information on vocational qualifications awarded in the United Kingdom.
