This project is designed to examine the views of school pupils towards progressing towards further and higher education. The study is divided into four main sections. The first section sets out some of the main characteristics of participation in higher education in Northern Ireland. In particular it is noted that Northern Ireland has a relatively high Age Participation Index (API) in the UK context.
