This report presents the key findings of a research project conducted by the Ipsos MORI Social Research Institute on behalf of Government Skills, the Sector Skills Council for Central Government. The purpose of the research was to identify present and future skills needs and assess existing learning and development activities. The findings will be used to inform Government Skills’ strategy in helping the sector develop and attract people with the necessary skills sets to improve organisational performance.
