The new Foundation Phase assessment and reporting arrangements come into force from the start of the 2011/12 school year. These include on-entry assessments using the Child Development Assessment Profile - copies of which schools received during May - and the end of Phase arrangements which will be introduced in 2011/12. Details can be found in the Foundation Phase statutory assessment and reporting arrangements (SARA) Guidance document which is now available on the Welsh Government website.
Printed copies will be distributed to all schools at the beginning of September. Please note that this version of the SARA replaces the draft version you received with the Profile material. In September schools will also receive a one-off supply of the Child Development Assessment Profile Record Form; an example of which was included in the Profile packs distributed in May.
