
The Deputy Minister for Skills, Jeff Cuthbert, has named the Principal of Coleg Llandrillo Cymru, Huw Evans OBE to lead the Review of Qualifications for 14 to 19-year-olds in Wales.
From April 2012, funding to support Welsh Language provision in schools will transfer to, and be administered by, the Department for Education and Skills. The new Welsh in Education Grant for 2012-13 will consolidate funding previously provided by a number of grant schemes.
The Welsh Government intends to procure education consultancy services and specialist subject expertise in order to establish a framework agreement to support the work of the Department for Education and Skills (DfES). The Framework will commence 1 April 2012 and operate for a term of four years.
