A new £75m Welsh Government scheme will create 4,000 new jobs a year in Wales for the next three years, the First Minister of Wales Carwyn Jones, has announced.
A £15m scheme to help over 10,500 workers in South West Wales gain new skills and drive forward productivity in the workplace has been announced today by Deputy Minister for Skills, Jeff Cuthbert.

Would you like a trained peer assessor to help with your internal inspection? ColegauCymru holds a database with details of 169 experienced post-16 sector Peer Assessors. All registered staff have recently completed the Peer Assessor Training programme and can be used by providers within further education, workbased learning and community learning sectors. Providers should contact hello@collegeswales.ac.uk to identify suitable individuals.

The Welsh Financial Education Unit (WFEU) set out a two-year programme of work for 2009-2011. Following an independent evaluation of the Unit’s progress, the Minister for Education and Skills has agreed that WFEU will continue to operate, to help embed financial embed education in schools. Information on a 19 month secondment opportunity as an 11-19 specialist within WFEU is available here. The closing date for receipt of applications is 28 October 2011.
