The Welsh Assembly Government is encouraging and supporting the use of a Unique Learner Number (ULN) to provide a single identifier owned by every learner in Wales from end of Year 9 for the rest of their learning life. It will become operational in secondary schools from September 2011. These events are aimed at examinations officers in schools.
