PISA workshops update

Every secondary school in Wales should have a member of senior teaching staff engaged in developing the use of PISA and PISA style questions to support teaching and learning in their school.
46 Schools are enrolled on the Developing Thinking Assessment for Learning PISA development programme. These schools attended their first programme session in September 2011; the second development session in the programme will take place on;
- South East Wales consortia: Monday 6th February 2012 at the Welsh Government Office in Cathays Park Cardiff.
- North Wales consortia: Thursday 9th February 2012 at the Welsh Government Office in Llandudno Junction.
- GORWEL consortia: Tuesday 21st February 2012 at the Welsh Government Office in Aberystwyth.
- Central consortia: Thursday 23rd February 2012 at ESIS in Treforest Industrial Estate, Treforest
All other schools are invited to send a representative to the following one day workshops;
- South East Wales consortia: Tuesday 7th February 2012 at the YMCA Conference Centre in Newport.
- North Wales consortia: Wednesday 8th February 2012 at Venue Cymru in Llandudno
- SWAMWAC/GORWEL consortia: Wednesday 22nd February at University of Wales Trinity Saint David in Carmarthen
- Central consortia: Friday 24th February 2012 at Glamorgan Conference Centre, University of Glamorgan.
