QIF 2007 was a short-term fund launched in September 2007. The aim of the fund was to improve standards by assisting providers with a grant of up to £6k to develop strategies to tackle problems and barriers. Thirty seven activities were supported which have resulted in guidance and tool-kits which can be used by providers across the post-16 sector. More

The Labour Force Survey estimates for the 3 months to July 2008 the employment rate of people of working age in Wales was 71.8 per cent, down from 72.2 per cent in the same period a year earlier. The UK average was 74.7 per cent. More
