The KSPD (Key Skills Professional Development) award has come to an end after six years of providing an accredited framework for teachers wishing to improve their practice in delivering Key Skills. Since its inception in 2004, 735 teachers and trainers from all sectors across Wales have completed the award. Dr Steve Bell from Coleg Sir Gar who has co-ordinated the KSPD for DCELLS since 2004 said, "The KSPD has been a real example of collaboration between 12 FE colleges, two universities and DCELLS.” At this stage DCELLS has no plans to replace the KSPD.
