
This document is intended to support the development of effective School/Further Education Institution (FEI) Consortia Arrangements. It provides a flexible guidance framework to support Learning Partnerships who intend to progress post-16 transformation through the establishment of school/FEI consortia.
Here you will find applications to participate in roll-out from academic year 2011/12. Applications are welcome from all providers of 14-19 learning in Wales and should be submitted by 8 November at the very latest.
As part of its Investing in Quality (IiQ) programme, DCELLS is making Quality Improvement Funding (QIF) available to assist providers to develop focused activities which aim to improve the quality of learning. Providers will be able to apply for a grant of up to £6k. The fund is open to all post-16 providers. The closing date to apply for the grant is Monday 11 October 2010.

Verifiers’ visits are focused on whole school assessment systems and schools’ use of assessment information. Following verifiers’ visits to all mainstream secondary schools, pilot work will take place during this autumn with a view to extending this support to special schools.
