Incidents of crime and anti-social behaviour at 47 Welsh schools have reduced by an average of 89%, with 9 reaching a 100% reduction - thanks to Welsh Assembly Government ‘target hardening’ funding. In 2007 the Welsh Assembly Government announced a £12m three-year grant programme to provide sprinklers in schools vulnerable to arson.
