The Future Skills Wales Partnership co-funded a Pay Survey and the results of this were fed into Job Outlooks. The survey provided data regarding the average pay rates for different occupations in Wales.
This report collects the findings of research into occupational and skills forecasting and the data used in regional economic forecasts available for Wales, and draws upon observations from interviews with forecast providers and users of forecast information in Wales. The research involved reviewing the use of regional economic forecasts and forecasting models in Wales, making recommendations on how such activities might be made more effective, and assessing how the available forecasts and models could be used in an analysis of future skills needs.
This report contains information on the outcome of a survey of 2,000 employers' Welsh language requirements.
This booklet can be used by teachers and careers advisers to advise young people on skills required by Welsh employers so that they can make an informed choice.
