This one-day conference is being held to launch a DVD that presents the findings of the project Bilingual Literacies for Learning in Further Education. The conference will also be an opportunity to discuss bilingual
education in Wales with regard to:
- Economic and social change and the demand for new skills for life and work in a contemporary bilingual Wales
- The challenges and opportunities for Welsh and bilingual education within the Learning Pathways 14 - 19
• The National Strategy for Welsh Medium Education
- Research and teacher education
This is a very timely conference that will contribute to the debate on the development of bilingual education in
Wales and the contribution of educational research to this agenda.
The conference will be of particular interest to:
