Customer Research Programme

The Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) has developed a programme of Customer Research which has the following aims:

• to identify the learning needs of people and employers
• to understand what customers think of the education and learning services they receive
• to understand what motivates people to learn.

The Customer Research Programme includes studies that provide evidence on customer needs, barriers and satisfaction with the learning experience. Customers include all people that the Department for Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills provides services for and engages with. This programme of research enables DCELLS to provide services that are citizen centred and continuously improve the range and quality of available learning provision.
